July 2010:
Show season is well underway, and things are going great! We have been attending all the local SNHSA shows, with all of our riders consistently in the ribbons, and we also attending the Let's Show Beach Party in June and the Woodside Circuit Opener with 2 of our ponies. The Beach Party show went great-Fact of Life and Liz Gioja took home the Reserve Champion ribbon in the .95m jumpers, and Ana and Gone at Dawn took home the Champion ribbon for their maiden jumper division! It was the first rated show for both Ana and "Ivan" and they had some very well deserved wins. Lexie and Wisconsin also did very well-moving up to a new division, they brought home some great ribbons and their share of blues in the .80 and .85m jumpers. And finally, RB Copperhills Red Rocket had some great rounds in the childs pony hunter division, and earned his rider a second place in the Horse & Hound Pony Medal qualifier. At the Woodside show the ponies did very well! With Carolyn and Cheyenne getting great ribbons in the Med. Pony Hunter division, and Chanlee rode Ace of Hearts to some well-earned ribbons in the Large Pony Hunter division! On the local level Katie Smith and her mare Camelot Rose are becoming a strong member of the Pair of Aces Stables team, dominating the Level 1 Jumpers; Chanlee and her gelding My Life's Dream are moving up through the ranks and taking over the Pre-training jumpers and moving up into the Level 1 jumpers. Becca and Ace of Hearts are doing great as well. Watch for us at the Summer Classic, Week 4 at Rancho Murieta!

May 2010:
It is shaping up to be a fantastic year so far! We atteneded the Northern Winter Classic in Febuary as well as the Capital City Classic in April. Both shows went great, with riders brining home championships and reserves from each show. Special congratulations to Lexie and Wisconsin on bringing home the division championship in both of their jumper divisions at the Northern Winter Classic! And also to Liz and Safety Pin on the championship in the 1.20m jumpers, and great round in the 1.25m mini-prix (pictured below). And finally, to Liz and Fact of Life for their Reserve Championship in the .85m jumpers at the Capital City Classic. Watch for us at the Lets Show Beach party coming up in June, as well as our sales ponies at the Woodside Circuit Opener at the end of June. The SNHSA show series is also off to a great start, with all of our riders brining home great ribbons. And finally, welcome to the newest members of the barn-Erin, Jeanne, Zoey and Katie.

November 2009:
We are still catching our breath from the Let's Show Horse Show at Rancho Murieta last week! It was a fantastic show, with Liz Gioja riding her young stallion Fact of Life in the 0.75m jumpers and Safety Pin in the 1.15m, 1.20m and the Grand Prix! Fact of Life came home reserve champion in his division, we couldn't be more proud of him-what a great introduction to the show world! And Safety Pin came home with the division champion in the 1.15m Jumpers, great ribbons in the 1.20m jumpers and a top ten finish in the gran prix! Of course, Lexie on Wisconsin were fabulous together in the long stirrup division and the Novice Equitation classes. Lexie came home with a 3rd in the novice eq, and a 5th out of over 15 riders in the novice eq championship! In other news, our new course of jumps is nearing completion, and we are looking forward to the SNHSA year end awards banquet.

October 2009:
What an awesome, and busy, show season we've had! And it's not over yet! The SNHSA shows are coming to and end, with the finals show being held on the 24th, and a few of our other riders, Liz included will be heading down the the Let's Show Halloween show from the 21st-25th. Fact of Life will be there in the jumper ring, as will the newest addition to the barn-Safety Pin, along with Casey on Splash of Paint and Lexie on Wisconsin-it will be their first rated show ever! We are looking forward to having a great time down there. Our riders have all done incredibly well in the SNHSA series, with Becca mim's looking to take home 2 1st place finishes and more in the jumper ring, Casey taking home a 1st and some other placings as well, Ana taking home top ribbons, and of course Chanlee and Lexie are also looking to take home some year-end awards. And we are also in the process of building a brand new course of jumps, and hope to host a SNHSA show next year.

Thermal 2009:
Becca and Liz just returned from HITS Thermal, they went for the final week of the circuit and what a great time it was! Becca Mims and her pony "Ace of Hearts" had a fantastic week, taking home many good ribbons in the Level 2 Jumpers as well as the Low Child/Adult Jumpers against some stiff competion. The highlight of the week was Ace of Hearts and Becca taking home the division champion for the Pony Jumpers! They came home with the championship ribbon and saddle pad, and a lot of great memories. We are looking foward to attending HITS Thermal again next year.

March 2009:
There is a lot of new news here at Pair of Aces Stables! First and foremost we are in the process of moving to our new location! Pair of Aces Stables will now be operating primarily out of Haywire Ranch, located at 3695 Lakeshore Blvd in Washoe Valley, Haywire Ranch offers an indoor arena, 3 large outdoor arena's, a large round-pen, direct access to thousands of acres of trails, many large turnouts, outdoor stalls with shelters and a fully enclosed barn with 9 stalls. We are also looking forward to Life's next foal, due in mid-September. She is bred back to First Gotthard and we are anxiously awaiting the full sibling to our stallion Fact of Life, who is starting his show and breeding career this year. Show Season is also starting up for us, with Week 9 of Thermal just around the corner, and the SNHSA series starting soon after that. We will have 8 riders on the show team this year, including Becca, Casey, Cynthia, Ana, Chanlee, Lexie, Carolyn, and Melody. Stay tuned for updates.
