horsemanship academy instructors and staff

Our instructors and staff are dedicated to making sure our students reach their riding, and horsemanship, goals.

Their focus on safety, confidence building, fun and pushing students to always improve shines through in the lessons they teach both on and off the horses.

Our Academy Director Sophie has a background in childhood education, equine body work and stable management which makes her well suited to managing so much of the behind-the-scenes work! From client communication, to making sure our lesson horses workloads are well balanced and helping to manage events and so much more.

Our instructors come from a variety of backgrounds, and while they all have their own teaching style they are supported with an instructor training program created and taught by Liz to create a seamless transition through the levels of hunt seat and dressage.
